The discount supermarket chain wants to redevelop the site of the former Fir Tree pub on Gorton Road.
Lidl wants to open its 1000th store by 2023 and is eyeing store development on Reddish, Gorton Road as part of the Reddish Project.
The Reddish project is part of a £1.3bn investment to encourage this development for its 1000th by 2023.
